SCC activities/services
The Sexual Assault Crisis Center (SACC) was established in 2008 and focuses on three primary areas of intervention:
- Service Provision: SACC offers specialized support to those affected by sexual violence, encompassing social, psychological, and legal assistance. A 24/7 hotline is also available at (+37477991280).
- Awareness Initiatives: with over 15 years of dedication, the SACC has spearheaded over 30 public campaigns and training sessions. These efforts target regional governors’ offices across all regions of Armenia, the Armenian Police, the Republic of Armenia’s Investigative Committee, and professionals including social workers, psychologists, and lawyers.
- Advocacy: SACC is committed to fostering a more gender-sensitive perspective on sexual violence. A central aim is to encourage the legal system to adopt a victim-centered approach and to enhance legislative responsiveness to the issue.
